What if an employee loses Form W-2 and needs a new copy?
If an employee need another copy of Form W-2, an employer can provide them with another copy of the original W-2. The employer should write "reissued statement" on the new Form W-2 and provide it to the employee. Do not sent Copy A of the reissued statement to the SSA.
